Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 July 2026 · Last updated: 9 July 2026

We, the developers of Deep Work Guard (the “App”), built this app. This policy explains what the App does — and does not do — with your information.

The short version: Deep Work Guard does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server operated by us. Everything the App records stays on your device. We have no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

Information stored on your device (only)

The App stores the following locally, in private app storage, and never sends it anywhere:

DataPurposeRetention
Focus sessions (start time, duration, counts)Your stats and streaksUntil you delete it
Block-list, VIP allow-list, settingsRun your focus sessionsUntil you delete it
Held-notification log (app name + sender title only — never message bodies)The post-session “what you missed” summaryAutomatically deleted after each summary is dismissed

You can erase all of the above at any time with Settings → Your data → Delete all my data.

Permissions and why the App uses them

The App only uses these capabilities to run focus sessions on your device:

We do not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or call logs.

Purchases

Optional “Pro” features are sold as a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Google, not us, handles your payment. We never receive or store your name, email, or payment details — we only receive a yes/no entitlement from Google indicating whether you have purchased.

Data sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. The only third party involved is Google Play, which processes purchases under Google’s Privacy Policy.

Backups

If you have Android Backup enabled, Android may back up the App’s settings to your own Google Drive using Google’s encrypted backup mechanism. This is controlled by your device settings, not by us.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. Because the App collects no data at all, it poses no specific risk to children.

Security

Your data lives in Android’s private per-app storage, which other apps cannot access. Because nothing is transmitted off the device, there is no server-side data to breach.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will change the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at the same URL.
